Life is Why-The Importance of Quality CPR & Use of an AED

Updated: Jun 26, 2023

In the United States someone, at any given time, is stricken with cardiac arrest. Although 65% of US citizens claim to have some CPR training at some point and time, only 18% are up to date on their training. (Harvard Health Aug., 2022).

Never has the importance of knowing CPR and how to use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) been more apparent than during the nationally televised football game between the Buffalo Bills & the Cincinnati Bengals. If team trainers had not had the skills to provide immediate and effective care to Safety Damar Hamlin, the outcome could have been far different. This same event could happen at any time to one of your loved ones and the sooner you can provide emergency care the more you increase their chance at survival.
